It is with deep sadness and a heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Irene Sylvia Scott after a long hard battle with multiple health conditions. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, in the late hours of March 29, 2024 at the age of 73. Many may remember her from her years spent as a school bus driver, or from when she worked at Hyatt's greenhouse. Most will remember Irene for her cooking and the various establishments she was at throughout the years. Spending her last decade as the main cook at Sweet G's working for her brother Gord. Always a social butterfly, she loved interacting with all the customers, telling jokes, also sharing her delicious food. She had many close friends, loved her children, and her grandchildren were everything to her. Regularly going on little adventures with her daughter and grandson, or video chatting with her grand daughters in Alberta. She loved the people in her life the most. Aside from that, she enjoyed crocheting afghans, doing crossword puzzles, playing games and recently started colouring. Irene loved blueberry picking and yard sales in the summer. She enjoyed being in nature, spotting an animal or sitting around a fire. Irene loved Elvis and was a big part of the Daylin James Fan Club, but it is her strength, strong work ethic, and big heart that she will be remembered for the most.
