CLIFFORD FREDERICK KEEASH
“Ooza Wigoneb”
September 24, 1966 – December 1, 2022

Mr. Clifford Frederick Keeash, age 56 years, passed away peacefully in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Thursday, December 1, 2022 with his family by his side.

Clifford was born on September 24, 1966 in Norway House, Manitoba. He was a hard working man, with a career as a labourer in the mining industry. Clifford's greatest passion was his family and he was a loving and devoted caregiver to his parents for many years. Spending time with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews was his true love. He was a generous “donator” to Lotto Max, although he kept it a secret if he ever won. He enjoyed fishing and was proud of his traditional native culture. Clifford had a wonderful sense of humour, always making those around him laugh. He was always willing to help anyone in need, even throughout his illness. Clifford's famous words “love one another” is something we all strive to do everyday. His kindness and big heart will be deeply missed by everyone.

Clifford is survived by his mother, Caroline Keeash; estranged wife, Lydia Chikane; his sons Joseph Machimity, Kerry Keeash and step-children Cassie Anderson and Jadin Anderson; grandchildren Envious, Migizi and Minty; siblings Veronica Fobister, Dorothy Keeash, Denise Keeash (Mike), and Zeb Kenequanash (Darlene). Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends also survive.

He was predeceased by his daughter Lindsay Chikane; father Steven Keeash; siblings Sam Keeash and Elijah Keeash, who passed away just 2 days before Clifford, as well as his brother-in-law Dennis Fobister and long time partner Betty Anderson and other relatives.

A Wake Service for Clifford will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 10:00am until 12:00pm in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James, Thunder Bay. He will then be transported to Dryden, where a Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 12:00pm in the Dryden Community Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Dryden Cemetery, close to his father and brother.

Should friends so desire, donations made in memory of Clifford to the family to help with funeral costs (E-Transfer to vrfobister@hotmail.com) and would be greatly appreciated.
