Obituary for Mr. Thomas Robert Laurie Drever

THOMAS DREVER
October 15, 1995 – July 16, 2021

Mr. Thomas Robert Laurie Drever, age 25 years, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 16, 2021 in Thunder Bay, as a result of an industrial accident.

Thomas was born on October 15, 1995 in Middleton, Nova Scotia. He attended Westgate Collegiate and graduated from Confederation College with his Truck and Coach Mechanic Degree. Thomas loved the outdoors, playing his guitar and keeping in contact with friends on his video games. He was a intelligent, kind and caring person who would help anyone in need. Family and friends were Thomas' greatest passion and he always looked forward to time spent with all of them.

Thomas will be deeply missed by his parents Mary-Ann and Robert “Bob” Drever; sister Maliya (Brendon) Baranesky; foster-siblings Samson, Mitchel, Faith, Dakota, Serenity, Rayne and Nakita as well as many other foster-siblings from over the years, all of whom were so special to Thomas. He is also survived by his grandparents Judy and Terry Risser, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and several good friends.

He was predeceased by his grandparents Martha and Laurie Drever.

Funeral Services for Thomas will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 11:00am in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James, officiated by Pastor Allan Piper. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 gathering restrictions, anyone wishing to attend the service must reserve a spot by calling the Funeral Home at 473-1121. A video recording of the service will be available on the Everest of Thunder Bay website beginning on Wednesday for anyone not able to attend the funeral. Viewing and visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday evening from 5:00 until 8:00pm in the Chapel.

COVID-19 Protective measures are still being applied in group settings. Masks or face coverings and maintaining social distancing of 6 feet are both mandatory for those attending the services.

Should friend so desire, donations made in memory of Thomas to Caring Hearts Cat Rescue or Kitty Kare would be greatly appreciated.
