Obituary for Mr. Carl Daniel Scheuerman

CARL SCHEUERMAN
April 13, 1963 – July 20, 2021

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Husband and Dad, Carl Daniel Scheuerman, on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. He took his last breath blanketed in love while at home with his loving wife of 35 years and their two children.

Carl was born on April 13, 1963 in Atikokan, Ontario. He started his career at a young age, working in the forestry industry before he ventured on, with his brother along his side, to start their own company. Carl's dedication, drive and hard work ethics led to over 40 years of building his legacy, which now his son carries on. Dad expressed great pride that his son joined him and continues with the same goals.

As busy as work was for Dad, he always made the time to spend with his family. There were many family dinners, with no special occasion needed. Carl was a man of many stories, which he enjoyed sharing with everyone. When it wasn't the stories he was telling, Dad was sharing the wealth of knowledge and guidance he had acquired over the years, especially to his children.

Carl enjoyed his many trips to various lakes up the Boreal in the summer and Lac during the winter months for fishing. Dad also loved dogs. You would never have to look very far to see him with the granddogs, sneaking them one too many handfuls of treats or filling his pockets to share with any dogs he would encounter on his travels.

Carl is survived by his wife Trina (nee Ahola); daughter Amanda (Jon) Luby and son Justin (Katelynn); brother Les and mother-in-law Svea Ahola, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was predeceased by his father William and mother Bernice (nee Wood) Scheuerman; and his father-in-law Tauno Ahola.

We would like to thank the 2 paramedics who responded. Your care and compassion will not be forgotten. Special thank you as well to Lori, Lori Anne, Leanne, Suzanne and Mary Jo for all the guidance and support through these past couple of years.

As per Carl's wishes, no funeral service will be held. A private family interment has taken place in O'Connor Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore Street at James.

Dad you were the pillar to this family. You have been taken too soon.
You are forever loved and will be deeply missed.
-Love your family
